More than most, decorators and upholsterers know that history repeats itself, especially with regards to mistakes. In order to avoid repeating the mistakes from past projects it is necessary to start off with the right fabric. History can definitely help towards this end. Our selection of historically themed decorator fabrics can show you how.
If you are interested in making draperies or other similar decorative items we recommend the following Designer fabrics: Great Buildings (nov00062); an imaginative compliment to an office or library. Revolution 1776 (nov00048) and Founding Fathers (nov0056) are two fabrics depicting history that is familiar to us from elementary school.

We also carry upholstery fabric and Tapestry fabric showing historical monuments and famous buildings. World Monument Tapestry (tap000100) and Wonderful World Tapestry (tap000123) depict world famous places such as the Eiffel Tower, the Sydney Opera House, the Coliseum and more.
We also have historically themed novelty quilting fabrics in cotton and flannel. For example, USA Monuments Flannel (fla00023) is a fun fabric for sewers and quilters showing some of the most famous landmarks in America. Eiffel Tower comes in both pink and black (map00004 & map00003, respectively), and shows one of the most enduring monuments in the world. The Eiffel Tower has played a part in history also, having narrowly been saved from destruction during both the First and Second World Wars.
