Plaids have been in use for thousands of years and are particularly associated with Scotland and her culture, where the pattern is known as Tartan.
Eventually, some patterns gained such popularity in certain areas of Scotland that they became known by that region’s name. Other Tartans were named for the individuals who commissioned
them.

Blair Modern Colorful Plaid (pla00041) is a distinctive decorative fabric. Although it has plenty of personality it will not overwhelm its surroundings, but rather draw out the color in a room. Curtains, valances and other draperies will look much nicer with the flair that Blair Modern offers.
Burberry Plaid (bbc00004) does not need much of an introduction, as this chic fabric can be seen on handbags, garments and many other items all over the world. Now it can decorate your home in any way you’d like. Draperies, lampshades, bed sheets and much more can be enhanced by the use of this sumptuous designer fabric.
Out of our large array of plaid fabrics, the Burgess series must be among the most beautiful, elegant and refined. Indeed it is one of the nicest fabrics of any sort carried in our store. Burgess Red/Gold (pla00006) is reminiscent of a fine scotch, aged to perfection. Burgess Blue/Green (pla00002) exudes the essence of Scotland’s picturesque coasts, bathed in foam and mist from the sea.
