Trim has long been recognized as an essential accent for
fashion. At one time trim was handmade and therefore indicative of the social
status of those who could afford it. Once the Industrial Revolution was under
way, machine weaving and sewing machines made trim more affordable. Trim thus
became characteristic of Victorian fashion.
Today, trim is making a comeback and has once again become
popular. Garments, accessories, upholstery and draperies can be accented with
the elegance of trim. Imperial Onion Fringe: 2" also adds interest and depth to
rooms and furniture.
Although trims have been around for centuries their
popularity is once again blossoming. Imperial Onion Fringe: 2" is a classic trim
fabric that adds an element of class and elegance not achievable through fabric
alone. This onion fringe is part of our Deco-Pro Imperial II Collection.
